Chris Humphreys is a British actor, playwright and novelist. Born in Toronto, Canada, he was raised in Los Angeles until the age of seven and then grew up in the United Kingdom. For acting he is best known for his role in The Bill where he played PC Richard Turnham from 1989 to 1990. He has also been in Zorro, Coronation Street, Hawkeye, Dangerfield, Highlander: The Series, Goodnight Sweetheart, Wycliffe, Silent Witness, and The Core. He publishes historical adventure novels and young adult fantasy novels under the name C.C. Humphreys. The main character for his Jack Absolute series is based on the main character of the play The Rivals by Richard Brinsley Sheridan.

He is a distant relative of Bob Mason.
